EVEN WHEN WE ARE DROOPING, WE ARE CALLED TO STILL BLOOM

A CHRISTMAS CACTUS

I was looking at this beautiful Christmas cactus and thought, how it looks like it is so worn out.  Its flattened stems are hanging over, like it has seen its better days.  Yet it still finds a way to bloom like it has all the energy in the world.  Even at the beginning of the winter mind you.  When the rest of us want to crawl in bed cover up and just forget all of our trials.

PRODUCING BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS IN SPITE OF IT ALL

Then I thought about us?  How do we produce those beautiful blooms, when we feel so cold, so tired, so alone, so mentally and physically beat up.  Well, I guess God did promise us that He would never give us any more than we could handle. I know we all have days where we wonder if this is really true.  I am sure everyone does.   I don’t think we give ourselves enough credit for how strong we truly are.  God knows us better than we know ourselves.

 SET YOUR SIGHTS ON WHAT IS FROM ABOVE

The only words of wisdom I can give is, that we continually have to set our sights on what is unseen and not what is here on this earth.  It is so easy to get so wrapped up in our earthly life, that we forget, this is just a drop in the bucket, compared to what will come next.  This is what we know!  This is what we are comfortable with!  This is where our feelings lie!  God knows that, but He wants us to trust Him with everything, and let HIM take care of things here on earth.

SO IN SPITE OF IT ALL

Remember that we can still carry on.  We can still flourish.  We can still do His will.  He will give us the strength, if we just ask Him to.  He will give us the tools, nourishment, confidence & strength to pick ourselves up, and continue to produce those beautiful blooms that He created us to produce.

A NOTE FROM JESUS IS KEY

Our prayer for you is that in spite of it all, you my friend will find a way to pick yourself up and be that beautiful, blooming being that God has created you to be.  And we hope that you will pray that same prayer for us, that we will have the strength to do the very same thing.
