The Association of Stylists and Barbers (TASB) founded in 2008, is comprised of an elite group of stylists and barbers who have a passion for their craft and a spirit of giving back to their communities.
Stylists and barbers are in a unique position to make positive contributions in a fun way in the cities and towns in which they serve — but many do not know how to start. This is where TASB can help.
Through our magazine, Recognition with Style, videos, social media and classes, our team teaches and trains stylists and barbers across the nation to come together and donate their time and talent to good causes, such as autism awareness, anti-bullying campaigns and confidence-building events.
We would like to invite you to be a part of our team in helping stylists and barbers live our motto:
“We Cut for Good!”
To date, TASB has raised $80,000 for contributions to well-known autism organizations. Our mission is to “Cut Out” the stress for stylists, barbers and families with loved ones who are in need of help. I would like to teach and share the knowledge that others have given me. Our signature event is the annual TASB Cut-a-Thon for Autism, which is now going into its ninth year. Held the weekend before Labor Day with a six-week booking period (to include all our clients to support the cause), hair professionals are encouraged to create autism awareness in their own unique way. We provide items for basic events and they can jazz it up as they wish. Clients help with entertainment, vendors and food for fun activities to raise money for autism awareness causes. One example of our autism awareness promotion is the TASB Lotto Tree. We provide shops with a fountain of photocopied lottery tickets ($40 value) for display. We encourage shops to contribute products, services and gift baskets to add to the fun each week. Clients can pay for a chance to win the Lotto Tree or the contributions. The winners are announced on social media on the last weekend of the event.
Visit TASBvolunteer.org for details on our other Hair-Raising Events and causes that we have supported together and to learn more about the volunteers nationwide who are members of the TASB Foundation.
Founder & CEO
The Association of Stylists and Barbers
Elaine and I are both Hairdressers, we worked together for many years that is how I got to know her. Elaine has always had a lot of energy, she always seems to put it to very good use. I have been involved with the Association of Stylist & Barbers, TASB fundraising events, to help support Autistic kids & their families, for quite a few years now. It is a wonderful foundation. Autism is so widespread. I think all of us can think of someone who has been effected by Autism. Keep up the good work Elaine and her whole crew. If there is anything else Jesus is Key can do PLEASE! Let us know
Jesus is Key started with a desire to design an inspirational line of jewelry that would bypass the major jewelry stores and be affordable to anyone who wishes to share their faith. It is all about the message it carries and supporting local shops.
